"The Calm of Surrender" - I painted this when I was opening myself to love.
The kind that arrives after you've done enough work on yourself that you finally feel ready - truly ready - to let the old patterns go. The things I had held tightly for years, protecting myself with them, not even realising they were walls.
This painting is a symbol between two realities. I could already feel the new path. I could sense it - lighter, more open, alive with possibility. But I was still standing in the old one, still meeting my fears face to face. The snake is that. The fear. The old pattern coiling close, testing me one more time.
And instead of fighting it, I offered it a butterfly. Vulnerability. Openness. The most fragile thing I had. Not because I wasn't afraid - but because I was ready to fall into the new reality with calmness. To let go of what I had been saving and protecting for so long. To surrender not out of exhaustion, but out of trust.
The petals drift from her bouquet into the unknown. She lets them go.
This is what it feels like to cross the threshold between who you were and who you are becoming.
