"Mummy" – The piece speaks about how, as children, we sometimes don’t understand why the people we care about are cold, angry, or emotionally unavailable. Why they don’t give us what we long for so deeply. But the message of the painting is profound: we don’t see what a person has lived through before we were born. The pain, losses, or fears they carry behind them, the weight of their past—and how often, even unconsciously, they try to protect us from it.

This is a painting about the silence between generations, about the invisible barriers of emotion—but also about the deeply human effort to protect. Even when it shows up as coldness or strictness.
